In an exclusive meeting former Haryana Congress (I) President and observer of Uttar Pradesh here last night said that it is imminent that Congress will form the next government in the state as people are fed up with the policies of present government.
When the newsman pointed out that Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda member Parliament and leader of opposition in Haryana Assembly and Mr Bhajan Lal President HPCCI have claimed that they are the candidates for the Chief Ministership of the state, Mr Barinder Singh said that these leaders should not give such press statements.

He said that it is the prerogative of Mrs Sonia Gandhi to elect the leader after the election. He admitted that all congressmen are working hard to get-rid of the present government.
Mr Singh informed that he has started road show from Yamunanagar district and it will continue for the next 30 days and will cover all the 90 constituencies of the state. He said that he has started this Road Show after getting inspiration from Mrs Sonia Gandhi. He added that another purpose of this is to interact with more and more people.
The Congress leaders are of the view that elections in Haryana will be held as per schedule. He said that as elections are due in Bihar and Jharkhand in February 2005 so it is likely that Election Commission will also include Haryana for the poll at the same time. He said that the by-election in Haryana for three seats falling vacant due to election of Lok Sabha are likely to he held with the Maharashtra election which is due in September.

Mr Barinder Singh lashed out at present regime in Haryana and termed it as a time of terror leading to the entrepreneur migrating to the other states. He questioned that the Haryana Government as to why no big industries have come up inspite of its best location as it is adjacent to national capital.
He said that Faridabad, which was the best industrial town, is now a dying city because of wrong industrial policies of the state. He informed that Mr Chimman Bhai Patel was the Chief Minister of Gujarat only for three years when the number of NRI''s established brought industries in the state to the tune of 30,000 crores. He said that even the industrialist of Haryana have shifted to Surat in Gujarat. He assured that if Congress come to power then the special attention would be given to the industry sector.
When the newsmen asked him that number of congressmen and present Haryana Government are taking credit for the construction of Satluj-Yamuna Link Canal, he said that the real credit should go to Sant Longowal & Rajiv Gandhi and to the people of the state. He said that Akali''s in Punjab were opposing the completion of SYL right from day one. He admitted that the verdict of Supreme Court has been announced during the tenure of Mr Chautala.
He stated that the position of Congress has been improved in Uttar Pradesh also. He said that the masses have come to know that congress is the only party which can gives stable government to the country.
He said that within next fortnight there could be reshuffling in Congress (I) party at a party level and there are all chances to give representation to the youth. Mr Singh said that Mr Singh appealed to the Congressmen to be united as the undisputed leader is Mrs Sonia Gandhi.
Mr Singh addressed more than one dozen Road Show in a district which were well-attended inspite of scorching heat. He was accompanied by Mr Raj Kumar Tyagi District Congress (I) President Urban.
The interesting part of the road show was that most of the Bhajan Lal supporter were conspicuous by their absence, which clearly indicate that Congress is not comfortable as far as unity is concerned.
